Tunes from France, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, and Iceland will be heard at Laxness Museum - Sunday, June 16th at 4pm. Páll Ragnar and Tui are like music encyclopedias. They have collected and arranged songs from around the world, resulting in a unique blend of familiar and lesser-known tunes.

Their program includes narratives about the music's origins and personal anecdotes, adding a humorous and personal touch to the concert.

The PálssonHirv duo, consisting of guitarist/composer Páll Ragnar Pálsson and singer/musicologist Tui Hirv, brings together their diverse backgrounds—Páll from Iceland's rock scene and Tui from Estonia's academic and choral traditions. They met at the music academy in Tallinn and have since collaborated on artistic projects, with Tui performing Páll's compositions internationally.

In their PálssonHirv project, they reinterpret folk and popular songs, creating a new sound with just guitar and voice. Their performances are intimate and playful, offering a unique experience crafted with taste and sensitivity.

The duo has performed at various venues, including Hotel Flatey, Norræna húsið, 12 Tónar, Havarí á Karlsstöðum, Gljúfrasteinn, Skálholt, and at official gatherings, such as visits by Estonian heads of state.

The concert starts at 16:00 in the living room at Laxness Museum. The entrance fee is ISK 3,500, and tickets can be purchased at the museum's reception before the concert. We advise visitors that there is ample parking at Jónstóttir.
